Artist's Comments

A silly little concept I've had for a while. Combining good old fantasy and good old sci-fi.

I have a severe love and hate relationship with the lineless style I've been perfecting. It takes FOREVER, but I also like the result.

There are one thousand good reasons for not using that cheap photoshop grass tool. And, all of those reasons are simply this: each blade of grass looks better drawn by you. Even if you have to do it with a mouse like me. (I'm a tablet-less fool.)

-----

Let us live, my Lesbia, and love,
and value at one farthing
all the talk of crabbed old men.
Suns may set and rise again.
For us, when the short light has once set,
remains to be slept the sleep of one unbroken night.
Give me a thousand kisses, then a hundred,
Then another thousand, then a second hundred,
then yet thousand, then a hundred.
Then, when we have made up many thousands,
we will confuse our counting, that we may not know the reckoning,
nor any malicious person blight them with evil eye,
when he knows that our kisses are so many.

The lineless style is indeed very impressive. It looks lovely, haha, I just love the way you draw robot-like stuff. I wish I could draw grass like that- the patience for that kind of detail seems to elude me these days.

Yes to the grass, yes to everything!! This is jaw dropping amazing, Zim o___o is so life like, like you could reach out and touch them. Even the little glowy bits in the air just add to the picture. It's beautiful :D
Wooow, your skills continue to amaze me, keep up the fantastic work!

I appreciate both originality and fanart. Deal with it.

Mmmmm. The romance that is summer. The grass is very lush, it does look better when drawn by hand... I'll try that sometime. :highfive:

I practically shat my pants when I read you used a mouse for this. A mouse is no excuse for bad art, but it sure as hell is hard and frustrating to use. I never woulda guessed.

"Your dad was in purple and floral?"
"Yeah, now he lives in a lonely apartment and no one loves him. Big surprise."
:iconarc-k-80:
That's it. You NEED a tablet. I refuse to be out-awesomed by someone using a mouse.

Just because God protects you doesn't mean you won't get sick after eating three bags of gummi bears in one sitting right after drinking four cans of Mountain Dew. You're getting sick no matter who you believe in then.
